This 450′ office tower provides 29 stories and 580,000 sf of column-free office space for clients like Microsoft and Eddie Bauer. Resistance to lateral wind and seismic forces is provided by the 40′ tall central concrete core, now allowed by the IBC 2003 code as an “undefined system.” It is the tallest structure on the West coast utilizing this design concept.
